We Need Vincent Van Gores and Bob Bloodloss'

Are you a up and coming Vincent Van Gore or a Bob Bloodloss?  Handy with a marker, pencil, paintbrush, crayon, or just a digital tablet?
Right now, we are in desperate need for artists to help add a bit of ghoulish style to our upcoming horror and science fiction game, HALF PAST MIDNIGHT

So, if you have the skills let us know or better yet show us.

We are in desperate need of artwork for our game.  Unfortunately, we are still a small time bare bones company with very little money.

So, in return for any accepted artwork submission that you send us, we will give you full credit and a copy of the game to show off to other clients or your pug named Bela.

You as the artist will also retain full copyright of your artwork.  We only seek permission to print your artwork in both the printed hardcopy and any pdf or ebook version of the game's rule books.  The artwork may also be used in other expansions, manuals, game scenario modules, and advertising.

Here is what we need:

We prefer black and white/grayscaled artwork but will accept color artwork that could be grayscaled without losing image quality.
Artwork must be at least 300 dpi but 600 or 800 dpi would me much appreciated.
We will accept jpegs, pngs, bmp, or PSD file formats.

The game is centered around a mature older audience but we do ask for artwork submissions that do not contain full nudity.  Don't want to freak out prudish squares after all.  Barely clothed characters is fine however.
What kind of art do we want:
All art should be centered around the themes horror and science fiction b-movies, grindhouse flicks, and all things creepy or eerie. Here are a few things that inspired the game that we love to give you a better idea of what we need.

Think E.C. Comics, pulp magazines, H.P. Lovecraft, b-movies of the 70's and 80's, and you are in the right neighborhood of what we would like to see.
Where to submit your art:
You can send submissions or links to your site, online portfolio, or even a DeviantArt page to ghostfreakgames(at)gmail.com with the submission heading of ART c/o Tim Shrum.
If your artwork is accepted you will be contacted in a few days after your submission for more information.

Half Past Midnight: Better Late Than Never

The vampire that was 2010 has been staked in the heart; its ashes scattered into the wind. Now that the creature is no more, we now turn our attention to 2011 with immense anticipation. On Halloween of 2011 we will release Half Past Midnight, a tabletop game that is a love note to the horror genre. It has been a project that has truly been over twenty years in the making.

Decades ago HPM was a game made during a childhood summer with a friend of mine, Justin Blevins, who is also my cohort in this ventire, and like a monster that refuses to die the game has found its way back to the living.  The story of the game's origins and roots is one that I plan to share with you in the months to come.  It truly is a something that was made as a love letter to the horror genre and now, many years later, we are putting a bit of elecrticity through it, bringing back to life for the 21st century where we hope it will find its fans.

The goal for us to is to release the game on Halloween 2011 as both a paperback and a downloadable ebook version.  We have tons of ideas and goodies planned in terms of the game itself and what we can offer with the help of new media.

So stick around and check back as we continue to speed down this new road and update this blog about the current stages of the game's developement and hopefully make a few new friends in the process who will dig what we are doing.
